The badge reads 1 but there's no apps that need to be updated. Did restart and hard reset to no avail.

iPhone App Store indicator badge wont disappear.

It went away. I guess there's a bug where an app needs to be updated but it doesn't show in the list. The badge updated to three and I had three apps that needed updating. I updated all and the badge is gone.
