App store IPad apps

I brought a game for my Iphone a few months back, but I just got my Ipad yesterday. Do I have to buy the HD version of the game again? I know I can play the Iphone version but the res isn't that great.

Yes, in the same way you have to buy a Bluray rather than a DVD to make use of 1080p

As long as you have got the latest version of iOS just check the purchase history in the AppStore. It's a button at the bottom. If it's there under iPad apps you can just download it again. If not I'm afraid you will have to buy the correct version.
