App Store Issue

So all my Apps on my iPhone 5S have been updated but there is still a "badge" over the App Store icon. As well there is still Apps listed under the heading of "Available Updates" but besides each App the button says "open" instead of "Update" and the "Update All" in the top right is greyed out. How can I resolve this?? I have iOS 8.1.
