App Store / iTunes purchases ( have you ever wondered)

I've had apple products for a couple years ago and I've bought a lot of applications for my iPhone and iPad. ( a lot ) I know that we are able to view all our past purchases. , but for how long. What about in 4 years when I've purchased thousands? Will I be able to view ALL my past purchases ??

The world of apps and smartphones will be vastly different in 4 years. Will there even be apps by then?

I would say that you probably will be able to. That said, how or why in the world would you purchase thousands of apps?
