I grabbed my dad's 2ghz white MacBook thinking I would upgrade it to lion for him, but.... the App store is missing. It's not in the dock, it's not in the applications folder, and I can't find it with spotlight. It's running 10.6.8, and I just went and updated all the software and still no signs of the App store.

Any idea how I can get it on this machine? Or will it just not work on a late 2007 macbook (3,1)?

Should be in Applications folder. The machine is a core 2 duo, s/b ok with Lion.

It's not in the applications folder, it can't even be found by searching the entire machine. It apparently has been deleted, is there anywhere to just download the app store?

I'm downloading the combo update, but the machine is already running 10.6.8, so I don't know it if will still work.
