Hi. suddenly when I go to the Apple App Store on my MacBook Pro, if I want to download an app, I have to manually sign-in using my password. Previously, I'd been using Touch-ID for a long time to log in. I'm not sure what happened to cause this change. When I go to the app store through my iPhone or iPad it lets me use Face ID and/or Touch ID, but not on my Mac. I looked into my account setting on the App store, but didn't find anything to turn this function on and off. I tried going into my Touch ID settings on the Mac and toggled off Touch ID, restarted my Mac and then toggled Touch ID back on. Then I went to the App store and clicked install on a free app and it just installed it, with no authentication at all! I want the authentication, but I want to be able to use my finger to do it. Can anyone shed any light on what might be going on? Thanks for any help you can give.

Bump...I figured it out after posting this and thought I'd share for other that might have an issue. I went into my Mac's setting and went to my account and to Media & Purchases. I toggled off Use Touch ID for Purchases and then toggled it back on. When I did this I was prompted to sign into my Apple account. Once I did this it toggled back on. I then went to the App store and it worked how it should asking me for my finger print using Touch ID to verify my purchase.
