App Store Progress Lag

Whenever I download an App using 3G the little progress bar doesn't work, it just goes from "Downloading" to "Installing" without any progress bar. The App installs successfully but I find it strange that their is no progress bar. NOTE: The progress bar does work when using WiFi.

Any other people with this... any ideas? I'm on 2.0.2.

i have this as well, but u havent tried it on 2.0.2

i normally use itunes on the mac, as there are less issues that way

I guess the OP loves the little progress bar. Maybe its comforting, I don't know.

I just think it should work or not? And isn't it strange that it shows the progress bar with WiFi but not 3G?

for me its an issue because:
a) the app never really installs, just gets caught in an endless cycle of the progress bar filling up and starting over
b) and that ends up in a hard restart, which
c) has just about always ended in having to put my phone into DFU and restore because it won't boot past the apple logo.

so, for me, when this happens, which is nearly every time i try to update or install an app directly on my phone, i get to have my favorite time of the day- iPhone 3G Restore Time! Yay!!
