App store shows 1 update ??

my App Store icon has 1 red 1 on it, showing an update is available. when i click on it and open up the app, the only thing showing is a pending update for KEYNOTE...but next to that it has a box that shows "open".?? when i click on it, it just opens the app. cant get the update icon to go away...HELP
