App Store Unresponsive

Got home today and tried to open the App store on my MBP to see if there were any updates but the app refuses to open. No message, no prompt, just will not open even after restarting the system. Anyone else having this issue?

Not here on my 2008 Mac Pro. The App Store is working correctly here in the U.S.A.
