App Store update badge doesn't show up on dock

Hello,

I have been having a minor issue with the app store lately. The icon doesn't show the update badge on the dock but, when I open it and go on the ''updates'' tab all the available updates show up on there. If any of you guys have a solution for this, please let me know.

The only suggestion I have is to verify your system is set to automatically check for updates under System Preferences - Software Updates. That was my problem when this happened to me.
