I could not summon up the App Store on my new iPhone. Just a blank white screen with no options. I had to shut off the phone and reboot to get it to work. Anybody have that happen? Did I do something wrong? I don't think so, the App Store seemed to have just frozen up on me until the reboot.

On occasion the iPhone will need to force quit an app and restart it. To force quit an app on the iPhone, press the home button two times quickly. You will see previews of your open apps. Then swipe up on the preview of the stalled app. If this is unsuccessful, restart your phone like you did. Once you have your iPhone on, make sure your apps are up to date.
It could be a carrier's Internet problem. If rebooting did not bring it back just wait a while and try again.
