Hey everyone,
This is basically just something I'm curious about regarding the app "screenshots" of the apps that get displayed in the app switcher. I always thought that they display the last state of the app that was displayed while you were still inside of the app.
However, I recently noticed that the Instagram app updates this screenshot in the background sometimes. So let's say I browse Instagram, swipe it away while "Post A" is displayed and then I invoke the app switcher an hour later, it displays a screenshot of a new post that I did never see before ("Post B"). So apparently, it refreshed the feed + updated the screenshot in the background.
Again, just something I'm curious about because I never saw this in any other app. So is this simply a feature that devs can enable for their apps? Thanks in advance!
