Hi everyone,

I have decided to take better care of my eyes. What usually happens is that I stare at the screen for several hours at a time which is not good. I want to take short frequent breaks where I can put my vision on objects further away.

So, what I need is something (that uses as few resources as possible, I'm a fan of minimalism) that can notify me let's say every 15 min.

I noticed that in System Preferences > Date & Time, a voice can give the time at every chosen time e.g. 15 min. However, if I'm not mistaken this can only be a audio notification which I don't like. It doesn't work if I study in a group e.g. in a library where everything is set on mute. And it doesn't work at home as I usually listen on some music. So I much prefer visual notifications.

So does anyone know of any good solutions to this? Any 3rd party apps? Any way to make a script that runs in background and can be coupled to e.g. growl?

Thanks!
