Kind of a niche request so I'm not expecting a lot of luck.
This is all relating to an external display connected to my M1Pro MBP which does support and is recognized by MacOS for HDR.
For day to day use I prefer keeping the display on SDR but if I'm going to watch a movie in Apple TV, for example, enabling HDR is a must. Right now I have to go into Display preferences and click the HDR checkbox before starting the movie.
What I'm hoping exists somewhere and someone can point me to is an app that will automatically enable HDR when you open a specified app then disable HDR when you exit that app. Something like that.
