app that measure current draw?

with all these threads popping up about people having issues with 3.0 battery life (myself included) i got to thinking: is there an app that can measure how much electricity (battery) your iphone is using? maybe we could compare a 2.2.1 phone to 3.0 and see what the deal is.

If there was, I'm not sure it would be the most accurate reading. The only way to get a good answer would be to place an ammeter in line with the battery.
