I'm in search of an app I can run on 10.7+ that monitors disks that I specify and sends me a notification when a preset minimum amount of disk space is reached.

I'd prefer it to be an APNS push notification, but I'll take older legacy methods such as email.

Can't you just write a shell or Perl script and put it on a Crontab to do that?

If you're getting low on drive space, it can affect performance. Rather than closely monitor it, it's better to get additional/larger drive(s), so you're not anywhere close to filling up a drive. 10% free space is good, more is better.
