Today I finally took ownership of my new MacBook, after lots of waiting.

What was that nifty little app that tells where it was made using the serial number?

This webpage will give all the information that is possible given any serial number, including where, the exact production number in which week of which year, and the specs of your model. As far as I know, coconutBattery only tells you the age of the battery, not anything else.
