I have a TP Link Archer AX6000 Wifi 6 router and I recently got an iPad Air 2020 Model I am trying to determine if the Air is in fact connecting on the AX mode but I cannot figure out how to do so. Every network scan app I find does not mention this. I can scan for other networks and mine shows as AX.

Any help is appreciated.

What do you see on your Macs when you hold the Option key and click on the wifi icon in the menu bar? Lots of good info, including channel (2.4 or 5GHz)...but I don't have any wifi 6 to test. My MBP reports:

PHY Mode: 80211ac

As for apps, NetSpot (there is a limited free version towards the bottom) has always been a good discovery tool, and shows what is broadcast. I don't recall if it shows client connections though.

Most good routers will show each connection type, so you can see all clients at once. Any luck there?

UPDATE: just saw this was iPad...checkout Wifi Man. Might be useful, and free.
