I just switched back from Android... yeah yeah yeah, I'm back.

One of the unique features of Android is i was able to tell it to block all unknown\private\anonymous callers, and add specific other people to my block list, so it sent them straight to VM. Is there a way to do this with a cydia or app store app on my phone? I'm JB'd.

Thanks!

Have you looked into iblacklist?

You're welcome :)

Hmm, bit of an issue here... the app iBlacklist latest version is causing my phone to lock up\become non-responsive... it does what it's supposed to do, but having it running slows things down to a crawl, and when a call comes in that it blocks it seems to freeze the whole system till I restart.

Any other suggestions for apps? My guess is this one just isn't ready for 4.3.2 yet... hmmm?

Oh no.
I was hoping you would stick to android since you know its so much better than the iphone.....

I'll be back on Android in 2 weeks I'm sure... I only got the iPhone cause it's white, and it's the device of the week... lol... lots that Apple Does well, lots that Android does well. However, your post is antagonizing and kinda worthless... but thanks for the input.

Lol :D
Welcome back.

I just need to figure out how to block anonymous calls.... effin telemarketers calling all day from India... iBlacklist didn't work, it just caused my phone to lock up... i guess that prevents the calls, but kinda in the wrong way, haha

You can give Mcleaner a shot also.
Not sure if they updated it or if everything works fine with the latest firmware though.
It has a 15 free trial so that's a plus.

Looks good, but given it says "Supports 3.x" that's a bit scary to try on 4.3.2... I'm just bummed I bought iBlacklist and it didn't work :-(

Damn, I just noticed that too. It hasnt been updated since 2010.
That sucks.

I wish the carriers would add the anonymous call rejection like home phone companies have. Drives me nuts. I get anonymous call and i answer and then 10 seconds of dead air then i hear call center then disconnect. LOL. I added myself to the DO not CALL list, but that thing is a joke. I guess carriers won't offer anonymous call reject because then people could cut off 25% of their minutes, lol.

Well if anyone else has an app suggestion please lemme know. Thanks!

Working

Have IP4 with 4.3.2

Iblacklist works fine on mine, also worked on 4.3.1.

Maybe a compatibility issue with other apps or older version of apps on yours?

IBlacklist worked fine for me as well on 4.3.1, you must be doing something wrong.

I did get rid if it though because it killed my battery though, which kind of makes sense as it's an application which is constantly running in the background.

Hmm... Did you replace it with any other apps? iBlacklist looks nice, but it does way more than just reject anonymous calls. Is there any more simple app I can try that'll maybe work better for me? Thanks!

For me one of the best apps for jailbroken apps is KuaiDial. It can do pretty much everything including Blacklist. Awesome FREE APP!
