Hey there,

I'm wondering if there's an app that will hide a specific dock icon? I want CoreDuoTemp to seem to run in the background (as well as QuiteMBP).

Thanks,
Evan

I don't know of an app that does it, but if you manually modify the plist file and set the LSUIElement to 1 then restart the application it will disappear from the dock. I think the program windows will still be visible, just don't minimize them or you might not get them back.

Google for it if my explanation doesn't make sense.

I too would like it if you had a choice as to wether an open app would appear in the dock or not, I have Clutter always on, but I would like it to be removed from the dock..

The above solution sounds promising, but I wish it was just an option in OS X.
