Does anyone know of a Cydia app that has the ability to wipe all "open" apps out of the multi-tasking drawer?

That is an awesome idea. I hate having to manually close them all. I'm using remove all recents from cydia right now, but that only prevents apps that don't support backgrounding from sitting in there.

How does that app actually work? I installed it, and it deleted all recents, but then when I use new stuff, they’re in the recents dock. How do you remove them again?

It should automatically prevent apps that don't support multitasking from appearing in the app switcher toolbar. It will not prevent apps which have been updated to work with 4.0's multitasking from showing. If there are apps that support native multitasking that you don't want to show in the toolbar, add exceptions for them in Backgrounder. Together, Remove Recents and Backgrounder keep my taskbar clean and including only the apps it actually makes sense to have there (not, for instance, Clock).
