It seems the easiest way to play my iTunes music through my surround sound setup and get the full experience is to stream music to my PlayStation 3 (wow, this is really nicely mixed between all five speakers). I already use the audio out on my MacBook Pro for headphones, and I don't want to degrade the quality for both by getting a splitter, so this seems to be my best option.

I can control what music is playing by choosing what to play on my PS3, but I'd have to get up and navigate through the menus to choose something every time I want to change to a different song or album. This isn't a huge problem since I like to listen to full albums rather than just singles. Still, I'd like a way to control what music is playing on my PS3 from my MacBook Pro. Are there any applications available that accomplish this?
