I'm considering switching to a new ISP with a faster connection but a limited amount of allowed monthly data transfer. I need a way to monitor my household's total usage to see if we're within this limit.

I have a Linksys WRVS4400N router between my ISP and my home network. My home network consists of multiple wired computers and wireless laptops and iphones. This router supports snmp but does not have a built-in bandwidth monitoring feature. I'd like to find a Mac app that I can leave running on my Mac to periodically read the snmp data from the router and keep a running count of the total bandwidth used during the current month. I've found tons of Windows apps to do this, but nothing that works on my Mac.

I tried Traffix and it looks perfect, but I can't get it to work. I enter the password and IP for my router, but it keeps defaulting back to reading data from my local Mac instead of the router.

Any suggestions?
