I have a few iPods I recently collected. They show up in Finder as a drive, but no iPod options like syncing or restoring comes up on any of them. I know Finder is still supposed to provide support. Is there an app that will sync or something I can do to make finder sync? I’ve already gone to finder settings and deselected and selected to show iPods without success. Thanks.

It's a common bug with modern macOS Finder that iPods don't reliably show up in the sidebar. I've found it's best to plug in, wait a minute or two, and if they don't show up, open the Activity Monitor app, search for "amp" and force quit all the processes that are in that list - they're the syncing related processes. If the iPod doesn't show up still, try a restart of your iPod (holding Center+Menu on iPods with click wheels) and restart the Mac if necessary.

Hopefully one of those fixes your issues! I wish Apple would make it work better. :(
