App to type directly on Desktop?

So, I'm wondering if there's an app out there that will allow me to type get directly onto the desktop. Not draw, not put a sticky on it, but type directly...

As in: I click the desktop (maybe a shortcut or something) and I then start typing a note and it appears there on the wallpaper.

Anyone know of such a program?

If you've searched for one on the App Store and didn't find one, then probably not. It would be an App that, when open, did not have its own window. Nah! It would have to be a add-on to the OS, wouldn't it? Maybe you need an app that makes the background of a Stickies window transparent. Not saying there is one...
