App to wake up mac for Apple TV

Hello,
I love using my Apple TV's however I don't want to not let my mac sleep. What can I do to wake it up from sleep via my iphone? Is there an app?

If you have a recent Mac, there should be an option to wake on network access in the Energy preferences.

Yes I have the most current iMac and I have that on it's strange doesn't seem to do it. Do you think it's because I disabled automatic log in (requiring a password) even so it doesn't wake up to ask for my password.

I had this problem with WiFi only. Switched to wired and it works fine. Only issue is it's a little slow for the Apple TV to respond to it for a minute or two.

did you connect the apple tv or your computer w/ethernet? or both?

I have my iMac connected thru wired ethernet, ATV is connected thru wireless.
