App Translocation issue after attempting to downgrade an application

I'm on 10.14. A few days ago, I tried to downgrade Mozilla Thunderbird. After the attempt, whenever I launch Thunderbird, I get a message from Little Snitch saying that Thunderbird is running in App Translocation mode.

This App Translocation mode also seems to be causing Thunderbird to not load my regular profile.

I tried googling about App Translocation but can't seem to find much documentation about it or any other instances of someone having a similar problem as mine.

I've since upgraded back to the current version of Thunderbird but am still experiencing the App Translocation issue. Has anyone heard of anything like this or does anyone have any suggestions for a possible fix?

See step 4. This solved the App Translocation issue, which in turn corrected Thunderbird's behavior. It just couldn't access my regular profile when in App Translocation mode.
