app update problem

Hi, when I update my apps some of then just seem to freeze and the little circle just keeps spinning around and nothing happens.
It wont stop and even if I switch off and restart phone it is still the same to the point where the only way I can stop it is to delete the app altogether.
just wondered if anyone else is having this problem, oh and I am using iphone XR, thanks, Terry

This happens to some of my apps on my XS. To make them update, tap on the spinning circle and doing this will show “update” again. Try updating for a second time and it should work. Not sure what causes this though.
