Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue with iOS app updates, and only iOS app updates, not downloading from the caching server. Everything else (app installs, iOS updates, ebooks, etc.) works as intended expect for iOS app updates. I can even start downloading an update from the app store, then go into another tab of the app store and download a cached app and it will download before the original update finishes. I have confirmed this with the log in macOS server.

The caching server is used by a few hundred devices a day, so I can't speak for all of them, but at my desk I have all devices from an iPhone 5S - iPhone 6S, all updated to 10.3.3 and none of the app updates are retrieved from the server.

I am going to try an iPad 3 on 9.3.5 and iPhone 6 on iOS 11 beta 3 to see if the problem is OS related. My server is running 10.12.5, I will be updating to 10.12.6 by the end of the week.

Update: Tested iOS 9.3.5, iOS 10.3.3, and iOS 11 beta 3 and it seems that only iOS 11 downloads the app update from the server. The other two versions of iOS do not download updates from the server. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Update: Worked with Apple on this and they confirmed it is a bug. They will be issuing a fix in an upcoming version of macOS and iOS.
