I installed the Smart Life app on my phone last night. It is the app my air filter uses to connect to the internet. I noticed this morning that my phone lost a lot of battery overnight and when I looked at battery, it showed that this app kept my phone active all night in the background. When I went to shut off the app’s use of background, it was not in the list. I went to Settings and found the app and it does not have a toggle for background.

Is this just a poorly coded app or is there some other reason why it would use background data all night but not allow background to be shut off.
