App works fine on iPhone but not on iPad Pro what gives ?

On cnn.com on my iPhone no ads on my iPad Pro a huge ad at top of the page with AdBlock still installed.

I use this app on my iPP and the only issue with the CNN app, imo, is the big empty space where an ad would be.
