Hello everyone, has anyone had the chance to try the Voice Isolation feature that has finally been unlocked for voice calls in iOS 18?

The call quality of APP2 is awful when used outside. I hope this update has significantly improved the situation.

I came here to ask has Voice Isolation been enabled? I don't know where that setting is.

It would be lovely if MacRumors staff could write up an article stating what new features of APP2 there are and with what dot upgrade of iOS 18.

I tried Voice Isolation today. Unlike @Jutah I’ve always had people be very positive about the call quality with the Pros, but it certainly helped reduce distractions further.

@msackey it isn’t enabled by default (at least it wasn’t for me); go to Accessibility/Audio & Visual and you’ll find it there.

I see. I turned it on. So when I'm in a phone call, do I somehow see settings for Isolation, like enable vs. disable?

When you're in a call, you can user Control Center to switch between modes; Automatic, Standard, Voice Isolation, etc.
