Today I was riding the subway, using my APP3 in ANC mode, and noticed a strong low rumble below my music, specially on the right side. I took them off, put them in the case for a minute and put them on again and it seemed to go away.

Later testing it again at home I discovered that there seems to be a bug in ANC, when you switch from adaptive mode and go back to ANC, the low frequencies are not cancelled correctly (I would say they are even amplified). I tested it with transparency and off modes, and it does not seem to happen. Also this is the first time I have noticed it in two weeks, I can't tell if it was there before or not (I did notice some inconsistencies in the anc performance tho), but now I can reproduce it every time I switch between adaptive and ANC.

I tried resetting them but there’s still something weird about it, like the filtered sound is out of phase when returning to anc mode.

This does not seem to happen in APP2.

I used a simple train noise video to test it at home: [

Is anybody else experiencing the same?

Yes, that’s why I returned them. They are buggy. And for some reason, no matter what size I used on my right ear, it consistently fell out when I was just sitting on the couch. More important the crackling noise when I switched from mode to mode.Back to APP2 for now. 😢

This sounds more like a fit issue, even with the bugged anc, it’s stronger than in the AirPods Pro 2
