hello Mac people.. As a Mac newbie, I decide to upgrade my late 2015 27" Retina Mac to 32Gb memory, after ordering it with 8Gb from new.
I did a little research and realised that Apple specs say 1867MHz modules in 8Gb sticks max (even though I know unofficially they'll upgrade to 64Gb, but I didn't want to spend that cash)
Bought four PC3L-1490 1866 MHz 8Gb modules,(the originals that came out are also PC3L at 4Gb, as i know some people have mentioned lower clock speeds due to low voltage memory) and swapped them over. No problems on startup, etc, but on checking System info the memory is stated as running at 1600MHz .. Now, I'm not overly fussed - even though I did try a PRAM clear on bootup, to no avail.BUT.. on launching Logic ProX or something hungry, like Affinity photo, I occasionally get a 'running low on memory' warning,.
I don't see any problems when running with the programs, and everything seems to work fine.
Is this something that you wise lot have seen before, and if so, is it something I need to be concerned about ?
Any helpful comments would be much appreciated.
