Apple $130 Thunderbolt 3 Cable Questions

Yes. It would work perfectly fine. But if these devices are just USB-C and not Thunderbolt, why not get a cheaper USB-C cable?

I wanted to kind of future proof myself in case or well as soon as Apple makes something interesting again that brings me back to the Apple ecosystem. Can this single cable be used between a MacBook and the Mac Pro Display?

Oh yeah and I also like the look of it, it looks to be the same kind of cables from the Mac Pro.

For what you want I'm not sure you need that cable. There are plenty of USB C cables that will run high-resolution displays and they aren't very expensive. Definitely don't get it for "future-proofing", these cables are on a downwards slide in terms of price. The technology is becoming more plentiful.

As long as it's a Mac model that can run the display, yeah
