Hello all,

My 20" Apple Cinema Display purchased May 2005 has developed an odd dark frosting on the top left hand side and a large white frosted line running from the bottom left hand corner to the bottom middle of the monitor.

This monitor has been extremely well looked after and has never been damaged or excessively moved. Manufacturing fault?

I have attached some images of the frosting and line.

Anyone had anything similar happen?

Many thanks

Yep clean as a whistle.

Yep clean as a whistle. But I agree it does looks like a dirty mark.

Hmm, in that case it's probably not something you'll be able to fix yourself. Your fate now rests with some Apple tech somewhere. I'd take it to an actual Apple store and plead your case there, since Apple Certified repair shops are unlikely to care.
