Apple 20 inch Cinema Display and 13inchMBP

hey i am planning to get the new 13inch MBP and also a refurbished 20inch apple cinema display because i dont wanna pay 800 for the 24inch led cinema display. My question is are they compatible? will they work well together? have there been any glitches or bugs? thanks in advance for the help. :D

they will both work together, but you can get a cheaper better bigger monitor for around $200.
 
does it connect through a dvi cable? if so that means i would need to buy mini display port to dvi adapter right?
 
No on the 20" ACD it is just mini dvi to dvi on the Cinema Display.

I used this set up on my Powerbook with 64mb of vram to my 20" Apple display, mini dvi to dvi; it was fine.
 
The 20" ACD has a DVI connector. The 13" MBP has a mini display port NOT mini DVI so you will need a mini display port to DVI adaptor.
 
I am doing this same setup. I just bought a 20" ACD on eBay for $349 with free shipping. The seller I bought it from has 2 of them, and one auction is ending in a few hours. Here it is.

It purchased his other monitor yesterday and he has already shipped it out. The best part is he bought them from the refurb store only about 3 months ago so they still have warranty.
