Apple 20inch Cinema display or Apple's new 24inch Led display for MBP?

Hello

Which display(20 inch Cinema display or new 24 inch Led display) would be recommended for use for the new MBP for graphic design/3D work and sometimes games?
I have read that some people do not like the gloss screens of the new MBP so wondering if that carries over to the new Led display too.

How badly does a gloss screen interfere with actual work and viewing?

Let's see... 14ms response time, that's only four times the current industry average; 700:1 contrast ratio, that only sucks...

And glossy is up to the end-user to decide. It's your call.

i'm using the previous version of that monitor, the LG L246wp, and it is stunning.

That is a TN panel which offer only 6-bit of color and bad viewing angles

Those specs are typical for IPS panels. Please don't compare IPS with 2ms 999999:1 TN crap.

hmm well the old model i have is IPS at least b\c this one i'm using is IPS. See if its still available. Also has component so you can plug in a cable box and watch tv

The 20 inch is pretty good as I just grabbed one used myself as I don't care for glossy and my desk is small.

If you do have the new macbook though (as its a requirement) i'd pick up the new display just because. I'm all for matching.

fyi, the L245 and L246 are the same monitor, just one is for online sites like newegg and one is for retail stores
