Hi,

What would be a good price to buy a 23" DVI Apple monitor in good condition? I need one to go with my G5.

Thanks

You should probably get them for 250-400, it varies.
Check ebay for ended listings, it'll give you a good idea what you will have to pay.

I meant euros actually :D

Seems like they go for less. expect around 200.

Also just so you know. The old models, from 2004-2006 seemed to have colour issues. With time a purple tint appeared starting on the edges moving in.
I have two used 23" ACD right here, both from 2005 and they have the issues. Colours in general are different from this aswell. For professional work thats not good. Most people can probably live with it though.
I have another 23" from 2007 and it doesn't have any problems. Colours are perfect. Its been used more then the 2005 models and still good.

Thaks, a 23" DVI Apple monitor will sorta complete my set-up, well, no set-up's 100% complete. But then I'll have a 23" Apple monitor attached to my G5 and a 27" Thunderbolt Display to my Mini.

Nice!!
I know what you mean with wanted the setup complete. The Cinema Displays are stunning, especially next to a PowerMac G5 or Mac Pro.

I found a 23" Cinema Display on Ebay, 265 UK pound sterling, a good buy? It's in excellent condition.

It is tough to say... it can be in great condition on the exterior, but if the monitor has been used for a long time, the brightness may not be adequate. I have two 20"acd, one is okay, but the other is not very bright even at max brightness. It has been extensively used, by the iteration before me. When spending so much money on a used monitor, it really is best to check it out in person.

Is there a way to get a 24" Cinema LED Display working with the G5? :(

Not that I know of, but I'd recommend searching macrumors for a G5 section, and if you don't find anything, posting a thread yourself about it.

My old G5 Dual LC unit die!

If I had to Buy new LCD Monitor today I'd get a cheap Dell.

;)

They are old but still the display quality is pretty good.

They are LG screens so if you want a similar type of quality you can look for 23" LG monitors for the same price but new.

Wow nice. How are the displays? :)
