Apple 24 Hr Shipping is DEFINITELY NOT 24 Hr.

Ordered my Macbook on Friday night, and its still not here. its been Friday>Saturday>Monday>Tuesday that is alot more than 24 hours.
Im checking the tracking number and its like its moving in slow motion.

The whole reason i didnt upgrade my ram to 4 gigs and 320 gig hdd is because i would have to wait 5-7 days. this sucks really bad.

Did you pay for overnight? The 24 hour ship estimate is only that they will ship your order within 24 hours. Not that you will receive it by then.

Wow are you serious? Another small print apple thing i guess. Seriously is apple getting cheap? Maybe i should have went with HP since they are dipping to that level lately. I miss the old apple where there wasnt any "Small print"
you had to read, or you get ripped off.

Small print?

It says Ships: Within 24 hours.

Ships means it leaves the warehouse, not delivered.

Yeaahh.. ok., dont you think the reason they add that there is to confuse you or others into thinking its going to arrive the next day?
Wow, I thought apple was generous enough to offer overnight when you buy a name brand laptop from them. Was i wrong.
 
Just because you order 24hr SHIPPING does not mean you can cut in front of the manufacturing line. You paid for faster shipping, not manufacturing.

WTF? No.
I don't think anyone says "ships in 24 hours" and means it'll "arrive in 24 hours".

No. I don't think many people confuse Shipping and Delivery.

They do offer overnight delivery, but it's not standard.
 
Yea seriously i never thought "ships in 24 hours" ment it will delivered in 24 hours its only 2 completely different words...

How do you not know the difference between "ships" and "arrives at your door"? Are you 15?
 
Remember saturday and sunday may not be counted in shipping time, as if they're counting business day wise. Your tracking information would have given you an estimated time of delivery presumably also.
 
lol...so many people complain about Apple delivery times, but it can vary anywhere from 24 hours to a couple of weeks...

the shortest delivery times i've heard/seen in 25 hours for my refurb Mac Pro, so it is possible to be delivered the next day
 
Apple is no different than most other e-stores. They clearly didn't say it will be delivered in 24 hours, just that it would ship within 24 hours.

I wasn't aware that Apple would sell you a non brand name laptop.
 
Actually just about every person that ordered a macbook pro were convinced it would arrive the next day. did i offend some of you when i said they are scooping down to hp?

I think "ships within 24 hours" is pretty clear.

Everyone is just amazed that this was so difficult to grasp.

Embarrassed my self on an online forum because i was mistaken? Man, what happened to the old MR forum where people help eachother. now its full of little kids trying to get there post count up. Sucks to see it let go.

Yeah, it's so weird to see "Ships within 24 hours" and assume that within 24 hours it will ship from the factory.

Question for you. If it was 24 hours until it was in your hands, then why is there options to get 2-3 day air, next day, etc, etc.

It does not take all that much reading to figure it out.


Apple users are weird, because we read and use common sense?
