I have a mac pro quad core with a Apple 27in LED screen at work.
The mini displayport was pulled by accident (someone moved the screen with the box still attached) and consequently I get no image.

The cable from the screen with the mini DP can not be readily removed like the power cord. Are there easy options aside from taking it to Apple (it's not under warranty anymore -- expired a week ago or so)

If it's only a week outside the warranty I'd be tempted to take it in anyway. That said as it's user damage they won't probably be able to fix it for free.

Fixing it requires removing the front glass and installing a new cable and routing it out the back.
