Don't know if this has alreasy been covered, but apparently, after Google, Apple was the biggest brand of 2003 (due to iPod mainly), as voted by 40,000 professionals.

not 40,000... 4,000 branding professionals, and not biggest, but one with the most impact. It's not unusual for Apple to do well in these kind of polls, it's the same when the D&AD awards crop up every year, Apple always does well, especially when voted for by people in a 'creative' industry.
