My wife received her Entertainment Weekly magazine yesterday and inside the front cover was a fold out Apple ad showing iLife and the various software programs. Is it me, or is this what so many have been asking Apple to do with their advertising. To stop some of the "image" ads and start with "content" ads. Apple has had some great software achievements over the years, but have failed to advertise them adequately or even at all. There is never any mainstream advertising done on OSx that I know of. they do specialized ads for software like Final Cut Pro, etc. The mainsteam magazines and television they advertise on has always been about either image or hardware(as of late) I hope this marks a start of the software advertising revolution Apple so despeartely needs. The mainstream need ads where people see covers of the boxes and boxes of software programs that are available to mac users. The mainstream needs ads showing boxes and boxes (*although not as many, but getting better) of games available for a mac. The mainstream needs ads showcasing the software programs that Apple either gives you or gives you cheap that are so integrated and work together perfectly...most of the time. They need Apple to ATTACK M$ at its own game...advertise software! That is Apples biggest enemy right now...mainstream America doesn't know all those great games, software programs, etc. exist on the mac...Heck, there are many that still believe that Mac's can use the internet!!! Wake up Apple!
