Apple Airport 1408 - wifi extender

I have the opportunity to get an inexpensive Apple AirPort Extreme 1408. Would it be possible to connect it wirelessly to my airport network already set up and use the back network ports to share the connection with my towers.

Yes, in the "Network" panel, select the "Router Mode" pop-up to "Off (Bridge Mode)". You'll need to have another router on your network doing DHCP and NAT for you.
