Hi, I have 3 AEs around the house and it's important that i have the latest model (802.11n) connected to my hi-fi.

But how can I tell the difference?

The one I'm looking at at present has 'model A1088, on the reverse. Is this anew or old (g) model?

Thanks,

Richard (UK)

mmm.... interesting! Thanks.

(I bought them from ebay - probably from abroad, so that might explain it).

From what I've read, I may be better off with a Logitech Squeezebox Touch)

Thanks again,

Richard

If you're interested in high quality reproduction, the Squeezebox is in a different league. The AE simply transmits your iTunes music, via your Mac to your amplifier etc. - very good but not really high quality. The Squeezebox simply uses your Mac as storage and has higher quality components, circuitry and DAC (which can be upgraded) resulting in superior reproduction. The only problem of course is the extra cost!!

Thanks -it's one click away in my Amazon basket at present!
