Hello i am about to purchase the Airport Extreme Router. My other router was finallly died out and i was wondering whether or not i could set the airport extreme to broadcast a 2.4ghz wireless n signal. i know that you can do 5ghz wireless n but i was curious about 2.4ghz wireless n. thanks.

Yes, you can make it work in just 2.4Ghz mode. To get more mode options, just hold down the Option key while clicking the drop down menu for the different radio options.

so i can use it in 2.4 ghz wireless n in order to use it with iPhone 4?

Just bear in mind that (unlike some companies) Apple artificially prohibits the use of 40Mhz (wide) channels when using 2.4Ghz. So if you want fast speeds when connecting a wireless device like a Macbook to other devices on your local network (an example being Time Machine over wifi), then you'll have to stick to 5Ghz with 40Mhz (wide) channels. This is a limitation of the client apple device, so will affect connections to ANY router on 2.4Ghz. So you may want to choose a router that does 5Ghz as well.
