My G5 power mac has no hardware installed for airport or bluetooth. Will this base station solve my problem?

If you intend to connect the base station into your computer via Ethernet. But it will not magically create an airport card of bluetooth module inside your computer if that is what you are asking.
If you do hook it in through ethernet, you will be able to file share with wireless computers, but it will not magically add wireless capabilities to your computer.
