With the introduction of iPhone 8, iPhone Plus, and iPhone X comes wireless Qi charging standard. I purchased the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad for my iPhone X but the phone gets extremely warm. I got really paranoid that my phone would over heat and returned the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad to BestBuy.

Do you think when Apple releases their AirPower mat in 2018 mat that the heating issue would be any better?

I've only seen bloggers on Youtube use it with the iPhone X. I would think that it would work like all the other batteries they offer. I have one of their Powerstation and love it. If I had a wireless charging iPhone I go with Mophie as an alternative because it works well so far with iPhone. You can check the Apple store to see if they have one on display and try it.
