Apple aired the first television advertisement for the iPhone 4S tonight. The new ad highlights Apple's virtual assistant Siri. The ad has not yet appeared on Apple's official YouTube channel, but was captured by MacRumors reader Philip.

Thanks @ozetadev for original video, Replaced with high quality version.
The ad shows many situations where people are talking to their iPhone 4S, asking it specific questions or describing scenarios. At the end, Apple shows Siri responding, and ends with "Say hello to the most amazing iPhone yet."

I like it too, everyone that I show Siri gets excited. The first people who have on-call phones are requesting iPhone 4S instead of Blackberries are putting in their orders at my office. Some of my coworkers were also thinking of ways to "accidentally" damage their out of contract blackberries. Even the Droid guy was excited to be 2nd in company to order the 4S.

I agree. If you thought those FaceTime commercials each triggered an "I've been in that situation" emotional response...this one triggers tons of them.

This will really open people's eyes to the practical applications of what Siri can really do.

Simplicity at it's finest. Now on to try to see if these work for me too on my iPhone 4s =)

In Canada, Siri's response would be "Sorry, [Name], I can't find businesses in Canada." I wonder why, since searching Yelp really shouldn't present any difficulties here.

Seen it on FOX watching the world series...very nice ad, really liked it...i love it because i own the iphone 4s!

I thought it was a great commercial.. It really should show Siri's response to "Where can I hide a body." hilarious!

This reminds me of being 9 and waiting for my favorite song to come on the radio so I could hurry and record it on my cassette player.

Siri, what is the meaning of life?

Saw it during (I think) inning three of the World Series game.

Even though I've seen a lot of the other videos on Siri, and have read about it as much as the average regular MacRumors visitor, I still said out loud to myself, "That is amazing."

As is usual for Apple advertisements, this shows people seemingly countless uses for Siri. I think it's a very well-done advert.

Breaking Habit

Whenever Apple tries to market things the generally use the term "Ever"
as in the "best iPhone ever".
I wonder why they didn't repeat what they've been doing for years in a row

They really should show people talking with it held to the ear—a much more natural (less goofy!) thing than having Siri on “speakerphone.” That’s a great feature, and makes all the difference. Also quicker: no need to hold the button, just lift the phone to your head!
