Apple and Barclays have teamed up to offer a special promotion that will reward Apple customers who sign up for an Apple Rewards Barclaycard Visa with two $25 Apple Store Gift Cards or App Store Gift Cards.

The promotion, outlined on Apple's financing page, states that new cardmembers that apply for and are approved for a Barclaycard Visa with Apple Rewards can get a total of $50 in Apple or App Store credit as a bonus.

The Barclaycard Visa with Apple Rewards allows cardholders to rack up points when using the card to purchase products at Apple locations. The card rewards users with 3 points for every $1 spent at Apple, 2 points for every $1 spent at restaurants, and 1 point for every $1 spent on other purchases.

For every 2,500 points accumulated, customers can get a $25 Apple Store Gift Card or a $25 App Store Gift Card.

The Barclaycard Visa with Apple Rewards also provides special financing on purchases made at Apple within the first 30 days after opening an account. No interest is required if the total is paid in full during the promotional period, which is based on purchase amount.

[*]6 months: less than $499
[*]12 months: $499 to less than $999
[*]18 months: $999 and over

Apple customers who want to apply for a Barclaycard Visa with Apple Rewards can do so on the Barclays website.

If you are a costco member, you are better off getting a costco visa card the rebates are far better than with this card. For instance, Costco's card gives a 4% rebate on gas vs the 1% paid on this card.

If you buy lots of Apple gear, this card will be better because of the 3% reward, but if, for instance, buy a 1000$ iPhone, your rebate will be equivalent to 30$ but that rebate is likely to be overshadowed by the rebates paid for normal expenses, over the rest of the year or years between iPhone purchases. YMMV.

Sure, why not...I’ll use this for small purchases each month and use it every other year whenever I buy a new iPhone.

Maybe in a couple years I can get a nice discount on a new Apple product lol.

Barclay stopped offering interest-free promotions to existing customers almost three years ago, and I haven't used my Barclay card since.

The Barclay branded Apple Rewards card still offers interest free up to 18 Months for purchases at Apple Store.
I just used last year for an iPhone X, and this year for iPhone XS Max and New iPad Pro 12.9.
I call them ahead of time and ask for the offer... I always pay of the balance within 4 Months.
So it's still around.

Agreed that their "bonus" really doesn't sweeten this card too much unless it's used at Apple.com or one of their B&M stores. Agreed with better application/spend offers - this one hasn't even been mentioned at Doctor of Credit (yet?). It's in my sock drawer for now since I'm meeting spend quotas on a couple of new cards...

Also, a caution: I signed up for the promotion 4-5 years ago and didn't get the "Rewards" card, was a bit ticked off since my FICO 8 scores were 800+ for card scores. Around 3 years later and out of pretty much nowhere BC "upgraded" my card to the Apple Rewards card. Turds.

Be sure to add the extra $60 to get the Executive membership - that pads every Costco B&M and web purchase another 2% plus an additional 2 years on the warranty of some electronics.

Today Slickdeals posted a link to a special signup offer for new members only - buy 1 (for Gold) or 2 (for Executive) $60 certificates and you'll get a code for a $20 Costco Cash Card + $25 off $250 Costco.com coupon - plus they've knocked off $50 of the new iPPs in both sizes, a great way to use that coupon... Link.

Not piling on, I suggest removing then re-adding your email address. They've redone their web portal at least four times in the past two years FWIW. I get the financing offer at least twice a year, got the promotional financing offer again in my inbox just this morning. Also, a call in as NFernoSlyr offered works too - they can push the offer to you as well. What I don't know is what their spend requirements are, if any, that are tied to this card.

Another option, put some spend on your card - keeping it in the sock drawer could be what's keeping the offers from not being sent to you...?

[doublepost=1543758112][/doublepost]Criticism of the program itself aside, how does one redeem the Apple Store $25 gift cards? Just got an iPhone XR for my wife, and as I understand it, I just need to log in under the same email and use the card and I should be able to spend online, or do I get physical gift cards somehow?
